Before joining AES, Mr. MacLennan was President of Engineering Resources Group (ERG) in Virginia Beach. In 2014, ERG merged with AES, allowing Mr. MacLennan to continue servicing longstanding clients and offer the expanded services of AES. He provides clients with design solutions based on over 40 years of engineering project management.
As a working manager, Mr. MacLennan applies extensive civil engineering knowledge to managing many of the AES Southside office’s projects. His experience and expertise in land development includes waterfront projects, apartment complexes, residential communities, retail centers, public facilities, and utility systems projects. Mr. MacLennan prides himself on providing quality engineering solutions that result in reduced development and construction costs.
Mr. MacLennan’s engineering design resume includes the 150-acre Red Mill Center in Virginia Beach as well as various site designs in both Virginia and North Carolina. For the past 14 years, Don has been the project engineer for the Bay Creek Resort Development in the Town of Cape Charles on the eastern shore of Virginia. This 2,000 acre resort community features residential and commercial tracts, a marina, beaches, clubhouse facilities, and two golf courses – the Arnold Palmer and the Jack Nicklaus.
