AES Consulting Engineers is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer / Team Leader / Office Manager for its Harrisonburg office. The clear path for strong candidates is to mentor with the current and outgoing Office Manager for a few months and transition into a full leadership role for the Harrisonburg market. This would entail the management of a 15-person office, including oversight of civil site engineering operations, in-house land surveying, administrative personnel, and office financials. Additionally, the Office Manager would play an integral role in broader company leadership by joining the company Operations Management Team.
In this leadership role, the Civil Engineer / Project Manager will be responsible for managing a team focused on land development design, with duties encompassing client development, proposal preparation, client communication and management, contract administration, and oversight of technical deliverables, and office financials.
Preferred: Previous proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Required: VA Licensed Professional Engineer – P.E., Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, or equivalents; 7+ years of experience in land development & public works projects; supporting teams for subdivisions, site plans and rezonings, managing engineering design teams, and developing client relationships.
