Modernization of Poquoson Middle School was completed this month AND 3 months ahead of schedule! 
AES provided civil site design and surveying services for Poquoson Middle School. This project consisted of an expansion of the building footprint by 35,000 sq. ft. This came after the demolition of almost 18,000 sq. ft. Also included were modifications of the southern parking lot to create a new service entrance.
The 21st-century learning spaces include updated academic wings and new classroom spaces. A new learning courtyard will be used for events and outdoor dining. A brand new “auditeria” space will serve both as a cafeteria and auditorium. It comes complete with a full stage and acoustic elements designed for performances.
One of our Project Managers, Graham, attended the Dedication Ceremony this week. AES Consulting Engineers is a proud member of the team that came together to improve this local institution which houses our future leaders of tomorrow.
