Today we celebrate Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

We use GIS technologies to collect, display and analyze location data. This publicly available mapping data allows our engineers to see layers of information on top of geographical maps. GIS combines data that represents traffic patterns ????, water flow and drainage ????, soil erosion ????, city and zoning designations ????️ and much more.

From studying these visualizations to converting the data into comprehensible reports, AES Consulting Engineers utilizes this technology in a multitude of ways to make informed and accurate determinations. Civil engineering has come a long way from hand-drawing maps and plans, to easily tapping into this digital data!
