Civil Site Design
Entry Level / Recent Graduate Engineer – Chesapeake, Williamsburg, and Richmond, Virginia AES Consulting Engineers is seeking a full-time land development Project Engineer. Under the guidance of a Project Manager / Sr. Engineer the selected candidate will be responsible for planning, design, and plan preparation for land development projects. Preferred: BS in civil engineering, 0-3 years experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Candidates that intend on earning P.E. recent or soon-to-be graduates are welcome to apply.
Survey
Entry Level Survey Designer / Technician (Office Staff) – Williamsburg, Virginia AES Consulting Engineers is seeking a full-time Survey Designer / Technician. Candidates for this position will work under the direction of a Licensed Land Surveyor and will be responsible for processing survey data, field to finish utilizing Trimble software, preparing topographic base maps in AutoCAD Civil 3D, preparation of subdivision plats, ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, construction stakeout computations and other duties as assigned. Preferred: A combination of education, 0-3 years of experience and a willingness to learn AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center software, as well as a strong mathematics aptitude, previous field experience, and a strong desire to pursue professional licensure. Must possess a valid Virginia Driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Internships
Summer Interns – Chesapeake, Williamsburg, and Richmond, Virginia AES Consulting Engineers is seeking full-time summer interns for all offices to assist project managers with markups to plan sets, base files, etc. including utility layouts, storm system layouts, minor site grading, erosion and sediment control plans, and conceptual site layouts. Interns will get the opportunity to help the survey crew with survey jobs in the field, provide quantity takeoffs / cost estimates for projects, set up plan sets (vicinity maps, cover sheets, plan sheets, etc.), and aid in printing / putting together submittal packages.
