Congratulations to Mike Apperson, Senior Designer, and Sam Bikkers, L.S., Director of Surveying, who took home 1st place in the annual Virginia Association of Surveyors PLAT Contest last week! The winning PLAT was a 127-acre boundary survey of the Darst Estate prepared for AES client “The City of Williamsburg”. AES is lucky to have top-notch surveyors like Mike and Sam!
Members of AES’ survey department also had the opportunity to attend the 74th Annual Convention in Virginia Beach, where the contest was held. The convention featured continuing education for surveyors and of course some fun events! AES attendees were able to learn about industry standards, innovations, legislation affecting the industry, and connect with fellow surveyors.
